Even though we tell ourselves, “It’s okay, the wear just adds character!”,
there are moments when your bag shows the traces of time.
No matter how fresh our first meeting was, there will come a time when a bag, worn and slightly messy from our daily adventures, needs a little cleaning.
While the best approach is not to wash it, if washing becomes unavoidable, hand washing is highly recommended. Here’s how to do it:

※ For bags, it’s best to clean only the dirty spots without fully washing.
This helps reduce wear and keeps your bag lasting longer.
Some stains or water marks on the fabric may not come out even after washing.
<Hand Washing 🧼>
① Remove the carabiner.
② For oily stains, lightly rub with a small amount of dish soap.
③ Wash gently with neutral detergent in water below 30°C (86°F).
→ Do not use fabric softener or a dryer!
④ Shake off excess water, blot with a towel, and lay flat to air dry.
→ Do not wring the bag!
<Machine Washing 🫧>
① Remove the carabiner.
② Loosen the front pocket string and turn the bag inside out.
→ Because there are plastic components on the exterior, always zip halfway and turn inside out.
③ Place the bag in a laundry mesh bag and wash with neutral detergent.
→ Use a gentle cycle.
→ Do not use fabric softener or a dryer!
④ After washing, shake off excess water and lay flat to air dry.

At mmo, we rarely wash bags unless they get very dirty. Frequent washing can reduce the fabric’s water-repellent and water-resistant properties.

< How to Attach/Detach the Chest Belt & Use the Bottom Buckle >
The chest belt can slide up and down so you can adjust it to the most comfortable position. It’s also detachable.
And here’s a bonus: a small whistle is attached for use in emergencies.
At the bottom, you’ll find a keeper to hold the shoulder straps in place so they don’t dangle—it’s also removable.
On the underside of the bag, there’s a buckle designed to hold bulkier items like a picnic mat or camping chair, making it easy to carry more than just the essentials.
The Boston bag also features adjustable shoulder straps, a detachable cross strap so the whistle can be positioned for right- or left-shoulder carry,
adjustable handle lengths with a buckle system for securing bulky items on top, and a luggage strap!

Did you know mmo products aren't just packable as bags—some of their clothing is packable too?
"Packable" means you can fold or roll an item to make it compact, so it's easy to carry or slip into your bag.
When folded, it takes up very little space, making it convenient for travel or outdoor activities.
mmo windbreakers and raincoats are perfect for this: pull them on when it rains or gets windy, and fold them down small to tuck into your bag when you don't need them.
